I had been with Progressive for 5 years, and my policy kept increasing every 6 months despite having no accidents or tickets, which was incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately their bad business has continued to impact my ability to get decent coverage because they fraudulently applied an accident on my CLU report. I asked them to remove this report multiple times in 2022 and I was clearly lied to because I was told this was resolved. It is still following me years later. I was never in an accident in 08/2022, I asked the guy questions about accident coverage and he clearly filed it as an accident claim. What a fraud"

"While the staff is great, Mike Bates Sr is categorically and verifiably not on the side of his clients.

Attached is Mr. Bates’ response on if he asked for my policy to be cancelled. His answer is “yes” in all caps. It’s one thing to have a company cancel a client for too many claims, but to have your agent ask for your cancellation is more than odd. People need to know that he’ll absolutely do that while citing 25 years worth of claims of people no longer on a policy. It was a decision that didn’t bother me considering the two accidents I’ve been in the last 2.5 years, but Mr. Bates kept emailing me about the cancellation as if it were the first time. Each email more strange than the last with no new information.

This doesn’t even touch the tone of Mr. Bates’ response that was more than strange— it would be categorized as bizarre, combative, snide, and contradictory. He also quoted scripture beneath his signature line in a display of piety that’s hard to stomach.

"Michael Bates Jr. was always helpful before we made a claim on our home. But after reflecting on a terrible experience with State Farm two years ago, I feel it's my responsibility to warn others against the company as a whole. State Farm refused to repair our roof that had hail damage, when other insurance companies in our neighborhood paid for damage from the same storm. When we questioned this decision, we were told we would need a lawyer. What kind of company threatens a legal battle when a customer legitimately has a question about the approval process? After being faithful customers for more than 15 years, I expected more from them, and still can't believe how we were treated.

I genuinely hope the cost of our roof was worth it for them, as we not only dropped our overpriced insurance policies, but have encouraged our friends and family to either do the same, or even better, to never use State Farm in the first place."

This same employee Dallas wrote my body car style WRONG!!! Which put one of my cars under WRONG HIGHER CATEGORY for Auto Insurance!!!! Unbelievable!!!
And TO COVER FOR HER MANY MISTAKES this agent was SO RUDE by TELLING ME that he told his employees not to answer me or my calls so I CHANGED AGENTS IMMEDIATELY AS DEALING WITH HIM & HIS POOR PERFORMANCE EMPLOYEES IS WASTE OF MY PRECIOUS TIME!!"
